Sir Andrew Lutterll acquired the
estate of his grandfather, William Paynell and claimed Paynell property in
Lincolnshire and Somersetshire on the death of his 3rd cousin, Maurice of Gaunt.
This second windfall included the manor of East Quantoxhead which became the
headquarters of the Luttrells in the south of England and has belonged to them
