"..John Pickens' will -- McMinn Co, TN -- dated 3-4 Dec 1827, named his wife Nancy an administrator with Rees [sic] and Robert Pickens. Buyers at the estate sale of John Pickens on 3 Mar 1828: Nancy, Robert, Reese [sic], Rebecca, and Andrew Pickens. Orphans of John Pickens over the age of 14 on 1 Dec 1828: Andrew, Rebecka [sic], William K., Charles A., Nancy, and Martha Pickens. They chose Nancy Pickens and George Bowman as guardians. Settlement by Nancy of his estate occurred 12 Sep 1838. Receipts from heirs Reece, Robert, Andrew, Nancy, and William K. Pickens.
